VISION

We’re Here to Revolutionize the Practice of Anesthesia

We are pioneers in the field of perioperative technologies, dedicated to inventing and researching cutting-edge solutions that revolutionize patient care.

From wearable devices to advanced machine learning algorithms, our team is committed to shaping the future of anesthesia through relentless innovation.

OUR MOONSHOTS

Digital Innovation,

Transcending Boundaries

WEARABLE PREOPS

PI: Richard Boyer, MD, PhD

wearable surgical insight

By tapping into the capabilities of cutting-edge wearables, which measure activity, cardiorespiratory fitness, autonomics, and electrophysiology, we're propelling perioperative care into a new era. This advancement allows for precise risk stratification and elevates surgical outcomes to unprecedented levels.

MULTI-OMIC SURGICAL PROFILING

PI: Joseph Scarpa, MD, PhD

integrating molecular phenotypes

This precision anesthesia initiative uses multi-omic molecular profiling to characterize the immune response to surgery and measure the effect of surgical stress on chronic disease. We aim to build and integrate molecular and digital profiles for patients undergoing surgery in order to personalize surgical, anesthetic, and critical care.

AEROSPACE ANESTHESIA

PI: Julia Scarpa, MD, PhD

deep space critical care

We have developed a model for using the perioperative period as a novel spaceflight analog environment – one in which to test and refine technologies for further use in extreme environments like deep space. In this model, we apply innovative technologies to the study of dynamic physiology under duress, especially in populations with known physiology that parallels the effects of prolonged microgravity exposure.

WHY MADE

A Different Approach, Pushing the Limits of What's Possible

With a focus on precision and accuracy, we're setting new standards in perioperative care, driving improved outcomes and advancing the field of surgery. Join us as we harness the power of multi-parametric sensing to shape the future of surgical innovation.
